Pinnacles is a great climbing spot, it has a good range of climbs from
long 5.4 up to some tricky 5.12 and 5.13's. I went with my school and
drove from Portland Oregon. You can't camp in the Monument itself but you
can camp in the campgrounds around it,..maybe you can camp in the west
side (I think I was on the east side) but you couldn't where I was. It
can get cold at night but the weather was great when I was there. There
are caves to explore and many different styles of climbs ( I did mostly
sport climbing, no aid climbs or anything) but some are of limits now
because they are raptor habitat, also some caves were off limits because
they were flooded out ( we went on the tail end of a rainy period)
I'll remember more later, and I can ask the trip leaders about serious
scheduling questions.
