I have got the impression that this list is only relevant for mountaineering
in the US. So I liked very much the message of Necdet Turhan (26.10.94).
After all, this is a Turkish owned list. I would appreciate more contributions
on mountaineering in the countries of South East Europe.

My questions:

1. If I am a tourist in Istanbul, staying there for some days, what are the
nearest montains to climb? How to get there? Where to find information? Are
there maps? Would it be wise to join a professional organizer?

2. Does anyone on the list have information on mountaineering in Albania?
